Why should I study design?
EDEXCEL Design and Technology will help you develop your creative problem solving skills. It will help you build on existing practical knowledge as well as develop your ability to think as a designer. “Design and Technology is complex, demanding, academic, challenging. It is the only place on the curriculum where students get to combine what they learn in other disciplines into practice”

The syllabus requires us to teach a wide range of topics which would challenge any calibre of topics. We feel the best way to do this is through project work. WHY CHOOSE PRODUCT DESIGN?
Not everyone that studies Product Design wants to go into the design or engineering field, but the skillset that is acquired through the subject is seen as essential for nearly all future careers. Almost all employers from industry look for creative people within their companies, they desire thinkers and problem solvers.

What is design? is everywhere - and that's why looking for a definition may not help you grasp what it is. Design is everywhere.
