Why accessibility is important
Students with disabilities must have equal access to educational resources regardless of disability: Section 508 The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prevents any college or university from excluding disabled students in activities, services and programs. Reasonableness is the Rule Incumbent on the College to proactively deliver content that is accessible to ALL students – within reason

Web Accessibility LMS Content – Videos, photos, handouts, interactive forms, etc. IT Procurement Hardware Software and Applications (vendor supplied or homegrown) Online resources associated with texts Online Educational Resources (OER) ($$ or not) Devices, phones, peripherals Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) Accessibility or approved waiver must be complete PRIOR TO PURCHASE
