The Renaissance I. Renaissance means “re-birth”.

The Renaissance A. This was a time when scholars and artists (students just like you) became very interested in the history of the Greeks & the Romans.

The Renaissance B. People devoted their lives to copying the artistic styles, the literature, and the overall look of the classical period.

1A. People lived on farms & got protection from the lords. (Remember feudalism?)

1B. People left their farms & moved to the big city to pursue their dreams!
