If students arrive after 8:40 parent must sign them in at the office Breakfast 8:15 – 8:30 Classes start at 8:40

Transportation Extension of the school
1st experience not in a car seat or seat belt Review rules and expectations at home Bus lesson taught within the first few weeks of school When issues arise, please communicate with us. Child issues contact the school Logistical issues contact the district office Jenny Lyter or Michele Bisking

Standards Based initiative 1999 Pa adopted academic standards What each student should know at the end of the given grade level Percentage grades for assignments– still check PowerSchool Reports on skill attainment

Technology One device for each student K-3 iPads
4th and 5th Chromebooks Devices are an instructional tool – not used in the same way they are at home. Responsible for intentional damage

PBIS Building level expectations
Be Kind, Be Safe, Be Ready and Be a Learner Expectations taught in classroom and building level Monthly rewards and incentives Randomly receive CAT stars for following expectations

Students go out for at least 30 minutes a day unless temperature is below 30 Most rooms not air conditioned No flip flops Always a windy at Enders

Electronic devices/toys
Cell phones are to be turned off and placed in the students backpack upon arrival Hand held electronic games are not permitted Bring toys at your own risk

Board Policy #246 Classroom parties/celebrations with food/beverages shall be limited to no more than one (1) per month in each classroom. Birthday treats no longer permitted unless in conjunction with monthly party. Classroom parties shall offer a minimal amount of foods containing sugar as the primary ingredient. Suggested list of healthy snacks is available on line and in the office.

When clearances are needed… Not under direct supervision of district staff Field trips, lunch, etc. When clearances are NOT needed… Under direct supervision of teacher Working in the classroom, presenting to a class

Dismissal Send a note stating who and when…
If you forget to send note call Kate or come to the office prior to 3:25 Wait in designated waiting area Send notes when leaving early/coming late due to appointments. Delay Form and Early Dismissal Form will be sent home
