2 What will we do today? In today’s class, you will get more practice making comparisons by reviewing your homework You will practice simple comparisons through a class activity. You will practice the dialog in chapter 7 with a partner You will perform the dialog from memory in front of the class But first let’s review.

You should now be able to Make simple comparisons of two nouns using the following structures Noun A is adjective than Noun B Noun A is more adjective than Noun B Noun A is less adjective than Noun B Things to remember: Adjectives if one or two syllables add an ~er to the end to form the comparative. Examples: tall > taller, long > longer Adjectives that end in ~y: change the ~y to ~i and add ~er to form the comparative. Examples: easy > easier, funny > funnier Adjectives of three or more syllables use more + adjective to form the comparative. Examples: comfortable > more comfortable, beautiful > more beautiful

8 Practice Dialog Turn to Chapter 7 in your textbook.
Practice the dialog with a partner. Work with someone you have never worked with before.
