2. begining
Esperanza’s Papa tells her that their land is alive. In one of the chapters her Papa let her cut the first grape. Papa got killed by the bandits. She had a dream that they were singing her birthday song but it was a dream. Tio Louis and Tio Marco tried to take over Papa’s place and one of them tried to marry her mom.

3. Middle
In the middle they go to Senor Rodriguez’s house to go to the train station . They used the Senor’s wagon. She can not get over the fact that she is poor. They meet somebody that had chickens and they got two chickens.

4. Ending
They got to see Abuelita. Her Mom gets well from being sick. Miguel stole her money to get Abuelita to California. So he could see her.
