Prayer and Share This is the heartbeat of Kairos!
33
Kairos Inside Monthly Reunions
“Kairos Volunteers should be prepared to, and capable of, serving not only as a Participant in the group, but also as a mentor and teacher. To have integrity in this teaching role, team members should be participating in their own weekly grouping experience on the outside.” Page 319 of Silver Manual
34
The 2 Day Retreat “The purpose of the 2 Day Retreats is to give those not yet grouping some experience in the process of becoming vulnerable to other persons in the small group setting.” It also encourages the return of those who have drifted away from the Kairos Community.” Page 328 of Silver Manual
35
SWAP: Share, Witness, Account, Pray
Share the choices they each want to make in the future and direction they want their life to go so that their relationship with Christ will grow and be strengthened. Witness to those times when you felt Christ’s love during the past week, when you tried to help someone else recognize God’s love and when it was hard to show God’s love to someone else. Account for your progress (or lack of progress) in doing what you told the group you were going to do to grow, to better show God’s love to others. Pray for each other; ask prayers for yourself, both in thanksgiving and for support.
36
Kairos Outside Reunions Use the reunions to model how to do an accountability group by following the SWAP card.
