Course Catalog Information
We will request classes after 8GPN, 4/5 Read Course Descriptions carefully. Check Prerequisites and grade levels. 0.5 = 1 semester 1.0 = 2 semesters (full yr.) Know what you need to complete for graduation. go to page 3

Graduation Credits You will need a total of 24 credits to graduate.
What is a credit?

You earn 0.5 credit for each course successfully completed in a semester. A year long course is two semesters = 1.0 credit.

Eligibility for Athletics/Activities
To be eligible for sports and extra curricular activities you must: Pass 5 classes (minimum) each term Earn a 2.0 GPA in previous term Be on track for graduation Maintain the above criteria in current term.

College For All Vocational Training/Certificated Programs: (RCC, NTI, Medical Certification, etc.) Diploma. There are many 1 or 2 year and shorter certificated programs that you can complete at GPHS!!! 2 Year - Community College: (RCC, LCC, etc.) Diploma. After 1 year can transfer to a 4 year program w/ a 2.25 college GPA. 4+ year - College/University: (SOU, OSU, UO, PSU, etc.) Diploma. At least 3.0 GPA, take SAT/ACT, Algebra II or higher, 2 years of same foreign language. Military Diploma. ASVAB test.

College Now Credit In the course catalog is a full list of classes that offer college credit. (Typically a 0.5 for us = 3 or 4 college credits.) These are classes you take at GPHS and get credit at a college as well for the same class. There are requirements you must meet and you must register w/ your teacher for the credit to be counted at the college.

Process: 1: Login to your PowerSchool. 2: Click into Plan & Profile 3: Click into Educational Profile * Submit up to three career plans * Select a Post-Secondary Plan * Select a High School Pathway * Submit 4: Click into Four Year Planner

Process continued: 5: Load your planner for each year * The Sample Path will help! * Total Credits for each year = 7.0 6: Click the submit button when you have 7.0 credits loaded 7: Click “My Four-Year Plan” 8: Use your four-year plan when requesting classes in April.
