SURVEILLANCE OVERVIEW
MOBILE SURVEILLANCE OVERVIEW BE ANYWHERE SEE EVERYWHERE
2
Mobile Surveillance Overview
Mobile Surveillance Platforms The no-brainer: Fixed vs mobile surveillance Video analytics: Let technology do the work Stay informed: Communications options Own the night with thermal vision See far and wide with telescopic masts Deployment case studies
3
Mobile Surveillance Platforms
These platforms create the ability to protect a larger area with less capital cost, higher uptime and lower maintenance Removes the possibility for intruders to create a path through a fixed network of observation as deployment and observation patterns change constantly Provides the ability to rapidly redeploy your observation capability to where it is required at short notice e.g. where high value crops or excavations requires protection
4
Black Widow With satellite communications Observe your target via satellite from anywhere in the world
5
System Integration We design and integrate a solution to meet your exact needs. The electronics compartment protects the sensitive equipment against transport and environmental risks – guaranteeing you performance
6
Black Widow With wireless communications Observe your target via high-bandwidth wireless communications from the on-site control room
7
Black Widow Rapid Deployment The mobile surveillance platform is easily transportable between sites and easy to deploy – average deployment time is less than 10 minutes

Video analytics: Let technology do the work
Excellent video images is one thing – making effective use of them is another challenge. A typical site has more than 10 sensors, often busy with continuous pan and tilt observation and it becomes extremely difficult for control room operators to monitor all sensor streams and identify intrusions. Effective video analytics solves this problem. Video images are analysed at source against a pre-defined set of criteria and only exceptions are sent through to the control room – you know that once an exception comes through there is a likely intrusion.
10
Stay informed: Communications options
You need to stay informed of intrusions as and when they happen. In remote areas it is possible to create fixed or mobile network clouds that will enable point-to-point wireless communications. These communications clouds are remarkably cost-effective and enables high-bandwidth video streaming to a central control room. When mobile units are required outside the reach of a network cloud or commercial 3G infrastructure the units can be enabled to communicate via satellite. Remote surveillance clouds could also be equipped with satellite transmission equipment to enable remote monitoring of the entire site.
11
Own the night with thermal vision
You need to observe your target area day and night, with most high risk events during dusk and into the night High resolution colour cameras provide adequate protection during the day, but for complete protection at risky times your require thermal vision Thermal technology stands apart from enhanced low-light night vision type equipment through its use of the infrared light spectrum. A range of options are available, capable of giving you clear vision with zero light and through fog, smoke and foliage

FLIR – PTZ/SR 35x140 MS Multi-Sensor Systems combining 2 thermal imaging cameras and a daylight camera The PTZ-35x140 MS and SR-35x140 MS are especially developed for security applications. They are powerful, multi-sensor, mid-range, thermal imaging systems. They feature two thermal imaging cameras and one daylight /low light camera. One thermal imager has a wide angle field-of-view and is ideal for situational awareness. The other with the narrow field-of-view is designed for mid-range target recognition.
13
FLIR HRC-Series Thermal imaging cameras for ultra long range surveillance applications with cooled detector The HRC-Series are equipped with a highly reliable, mid-wave, cooled detector which offers extremely long range detection in all weather conditions. The cameras offer a continuous optical and electronic zoom. This offers excellent situational awareness while also giving the possibility to zoom in at suspect activities, and have a closer look, once they are detected. The HRC-Series can be integrated into existing networks or used as a stand alone unit. The HRC-Series offer extreme long range detection and excellent image quality, in the darkest of nights, through smoke and dust. You can detect a man-size target several kilometers away. All thermal imaging cameras are extremely suited for border and coastal surveillance but also for mid-range threat detection.

See far and wide with telescopic masts
Even the best camera must be elevated to overcome terrain and topographic challenges. Our range of easy deployable pneumatic masts are quick and safe to use and available in heights from 9 – 30m with payloads up to 200kg.

Deployment case studies
Study 1: Mobile surveillance application in the Middle East with mobile control room – each deployment at a different geographical area (observation area 18km radius) Study 2: Mobile surveillance at a fixed site in the Middle East with fixed control room (observation area 45km x 45 km area) Study 3: Mobile surveillance in metropolitan area with fixed and mobile control room ( observation area 100km x 50 km). A coastal border is a critical part of this surveillance scenario.
