5. Coaching Notes Association Coaching Philosophy:
Brookfield Lacrosse is a member of the Milwaukee Area Youth Lacrosse Association (MAYLA). Lots of good information on website at
Players are in BLA to learn discipline, working as a team, the sport of lacrosse and have fun
To the best of the coaches ability all players will have equal playing time, regardless of the score
Players with discipline or attitude issues will be asked to sit out and if problems continue parents will be notified
If parents have questions or concerns about the team on the field and/or coaching please talk directly with the coach
BLA believes in candid direct communication. Coaches are in the best position to work through questions or concerns with you
If, after working with the coach resolution is not achieved please contact your Boys Youth Director
US Lacrosse Coaching Philosophy
Minimal instruction –allow the players to develop skills naturally as opposed to strict drill regime
Guided Instruction – coach on the field and enable good skills
Practices:
Outdoor practices start either the week of 9 or 16th depending on weather
Players are expected to make 1 practice a week

6. Club Notes Games: Start April 14 and end June 2 (as of now)
Games are scheduled most Saturdays and Sundays
Schedule will be posted once released by MAYLA
