Scorekeeper Referees Manage scoring as directed by referee Home games Clock Manager Manage game clock as directed by referee Field Maintenance Fields Director Supports field readiness by putting out/away: goals, cones, game table Before/after practices and games Uniform Coordinator* Boy Youth Directors Coordinates uniform volunteers for sizing, places order with Burghardts and distributes uniforms to teams First week of practice; delivery Spirit Wear Coordinator* Boys Youth Directors Delivers spiritwear orders to teams once in at Burghardts One week for delivery Culture Keeper Club board (if needed) Requirement of MAYLA From the sidelines support, maintain, and manage the sportsmanlike behavior of spectators and fans Every game Team Manager* Coaches Parents Youth Directors Coordinates team off field activities Ensure effective communication from coaches to players Reminders to players/parents Track player availability Weekly * - committed during registration

4 2018 Summary of Teams What’s different this year: 4 New parent coaches
4 New team managers 7/8 A and B team First year evaluation Separate based on skills (not tenure) MAYLA supported, 5 other clubs A players same number of games – each team twice A players have a free weekend – tourney B plays within normal MAYLA schedule

5 Coaching Notes Association Coaching Philosophy:
Brookfield Lacrosse is a member of the Milwaukee Area Youth Lacrosse Association (MAYLA). Lots of good information on website at Players are in BLA to learn discipline, working as a team, the sport of lacrosse and have fun To the best of the coaches ability all players will have equal playing time, regardless of the score Players with discipline or attitude issues will be asked to sit out and if problems continue parents will be notified If parents have questions or concerns about the team on the field and/or coaching please talk directly with the coach BLA believes in candid direct communication. Coaches are in the best position to work through questions or concerns with you If, after working with the coach resolution is not achieved please contact your Boys Youth Director US Lacrosse Coaching Philosophy Minimal instruction –allow the players to develop skills naturally as opposed to strict drill regime Guided Instruction – coach on the field and enable good skills Practices: Outdoor practices start either the week of 9 or 16th depending on weather Players are expected to make 1 practice a week

6 Club Notes Games: Start April 14 and end June 2 (as of now)
Games are scheduled most Saturdays and Sundays Schedule will be posted once released by MAYLA Team pictures will be taken most likely second week of practice. Dates still to be determined Most communication from the Association will be done through Brookfield Lacrosse has a new Facebook page. Please feel free to like and post pictures to the site Roster Cards – Managers will be handing out roster cards prior to or at the first game Encourage all parents to sign up for MAYLA newsletter
