Differences Western Church
The Pope is the descendant of St Peter and therefore is the Head of the Church. God the Father+Son create Holy Spirit Church sacraments, prayers and customs varied slightly from country to country. The Christian in eastern Europe and Africa regarded the Bishop of Constantinople Eastern Church The Pope is one Bishop who is first among equals. God the Father alone creates the Holy Spirit.

Icons These are symbols or pictures that are of religious people like.
God, Jesus and many other saints. These pictures are considered holy and even the painters are considered holy. They are placed on ceilings and over walls.

Sacraments in the Orthodox Church
Mass in the Orthodox Church can last up to two hours or more. It follows a similar structure to a Catholic Mass. Orthodox Churches have few seats and rarely have pews . Orthodox priests may choose to work in a parish, in which case they may marry,or else choose to be a monk .

The Orthodox Church in Ireland
Orthodox Christians have lived in Ireland since before 640AD They share the same Celtic Christian heritage as Protestant and Catholic Christians. The Orthodox Church in Ireland has five parishes and a number of other areas where it occasionally meets.
