Saints “dwell” “on the earth” (Psa. 16:3; Acts 9:32, 13) Saints have “feet” (1 Tim. 5:10) Saints have and can shed “blood” (Rev. 16:6; 17:6; 18:24) Saints can be instructed and understand written communication (Rom. 1:7; 1 Cor. 1:2; 2 Cor. 1:2; Eph. 1:1; Phil. 1:1; Col 1:2) Saints can “work” (Eph. 4:12) Saints are subject to physical “harm” & “prison” (Acts 9:13; 26:10) Saints are subject to “death” (Psa. 116:15; Acts 26:10; Rev. 18:24) Saints are NEVER depicted as: Those posthumously canonized by the church to become “Saints” Those of “exceptional holiness” more than others

3 Qualification #2: Must Be “Saint-ified” By & In Christ
The English “saint” comes from the Greek “hagios” “Hagios” is a Greek adjective (found 229 times in N.T.) The singular form is translated “saint” once (in NKJV) The plural form is translated “saints” 61 times (in NKJV) The other 167 times it is translated “holy” In its verb form (hagiazo), 26 of 29 times = “sanctify” “Saints” from “hagios” lit. = “holy ones” or “set apart ones” “Saints” are ones separated from the world AND consecrated to God & His service through Christ Set apart (“saint-ified”) IN Christ and BY Christ “Spirit” “Temple” “Commandment” Jesus “Angels” “Kiss” Father “Prophets” “Women” “City” “Apostles” “Men” “Place” “Covenant” “Children” “Mountain” “Scriptures” “Ground” “The law”

4 Qualification #2: Must Be “Saint-ified” By & In Christ
The Bible identifies God’s “saints” as: God’s “servants” (Psa. 79:2; Rev. 11:18) God’s “people” (Psa. 85:8; 148:14) God’s “church” (1 Cor. 1:2; 14:33; 2 Cor. 1:1) God’s “family” (Eph. 2:19) God’s “faithful” (Psa. 31:23; Eph. 1:1; Col. 1:2) “Those who believe” (2 Thess. 1:10) = Christians All Christians are saints! All saints are Christians!

5 Qualification #3: Must Live a Life “Fitting for Saints”
Saints and their Lord Saints “love the Lord” (Psa. 31:23) Saints “fear the Lord” (Psa. 34:9) Saints “sing praise to the Lord” (Psa. 30:4; 145:10) Saints “give thanks” to the Lord (Psa. 30:4) Saints “shout for joy” (Psa. 132:9, 16)

Saints and their Lord Saints and their fellow saints Saints have “love for all the saints” (Eph. 1:15; Col. 1:4) Saints have “faith toward all the saints” (Phile. 5) Saints “minister to the saints” (1 Cor. 16:15; Heb. 6:10) “Distributing to the needs of the saints” (Rom. 12:13) Serving “the needs of the saints” (2 Cor. 9:12) Saints “greet every saint” (Phil. 4:21, 22; Heb. 13:24) Saints “receive saints in the Lord” (Rom. 16:2) Saints “refresh the hearts of the saints” (Phile. 7) Saints make “supplication for all the saints” (Eph. 6:18)

7 Qualification #3: Must Live a Life “Fitting for Saints”
Saints and their Lord Saints and their fellow saints Saints and their personal growth Saints do that which “is fitting for saints” (Eph. 5:3) Saints lift up “prayers before the throne” (Rev. 5:8; 8:3-4) Saints “keep the commandments of God” (Rev. 14:12) Saints are given to “righteous acts” (Rev. 19:8) Saints “persevere” in faithful works (Rev. 14:12)

8 The Only Way to Become a Saint
Believe Jesus is God’s Son – John 8:24 Repent of your sins and turn to God – Acts 3:19 Confess your faith in Jesus – Matthew 10:32 Be immersed into Christ – Acts 2:38 God will wash away all sins – Acts 22:16 God will add you to His church – Acts 2:47 God will register you in heaven – Hebrews 12:23 Persevere in faithful obedience – Revelation 14:12-13
