2. Introduction
In 1st John 2:17, the beloved apostle says “he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever” (KJV) or “one who does the will of God lives forever. (NASB95).
Here and elsewhere, John employs the phrase, “εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα” which literally means “into the ages.”

3. Introduction
In Christ Jesus, we have been blessed with every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3-5).
Let us consider some of those blessings, described in the writings of John as extending “into the ages.”

4. Eternal Blessings in Christ
Eternal Sustenance (John 4:7-14; 6:48-51, 53-58).
Eternal Sonship (John 8:31-36).
Eternal Protection (John 10:24-30).
Eternal Life (John 8:51-59; 11:23-27)
Eternal Guidance (John 14:16-17, 25-26; 2 John 1-3).

5. Conclusion
Those who trust in the Lord are as Mount Zion, which cannot be moved but abides forever (Psalm 125:1-2).
When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation (Proverbs 10:25).
