Why are we here?
At this time of year, many thinking of Jesus coming to this earth
While scripture does not teach or authorize a special observance commemorating His birth, the fact is we are here (always) because He was born

He came to this earth to provide the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
We are here because Jesus died and arose from the dead.
Our HOPE rests in this!

Disprove the resurrection, you destroy the Christian faith!
Acts 4:2, disturbed that they preached the resurrection

Acts 26:22-26, Agrippa told Paul he “you are beside yourself” (out of his mind)

16. The Resurrection proves:
That miracles exist – it was a genuine miracle!
That there is a God – miracles prove the existence of a divine creator OUTSIDE of natural law
The God of the Bible IS the ONE true God (cf. Acts 17:30-31)

That God directly interacts with man – He is a personal, active God that loves and cares about us John 3:16, 1 John 4:9-16, Romans 5:8
Jesus is our only source of hope –John 14:6, Romans 1:4 – declared to be the Son of God

Therefore we need to follow the New Testament – NO other (sacred) religion declares Jesus as resurrected. IF He arose, we need the New Testament!
There is reason to be faithful –2 Corinthians 4:14, 4:16-5:8 – we walk by faith. ONLY Christianity gives proof of life beyond this world! 1 Cor. 15:19

19. 1 Corinthians 15:58, Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
