Cultural Action Figure Assignment (Due Wednesday, Oct 21st)
On your blank paper cultural image, create a collage using drawings and words to describe the culture traits of your family. The cultural image should be made to resemble you. Be creative, and dress your cultural image to reflect the things that would describe your cultural traits. On the backside of the cultural action figure write a description of your culture. Student choice, select any 6: • Social organizations- any clubs, sports • Customs and traditions • Languages you speak • Arts and literature- your favorite books, • Religion • Food and clothing- your style • Music and dance- your favorite kind of music and style of dance

2. Group research-assigned religious holiday -Christmas, Easter, Ramadan, Yom Kippur, Rosh Hashanah and Diwali In your group you will be creating posters that explain that importance of their religious holiday. You will have one IPAD per group to research. Posters should include: 1. Definition/ description of the holiday 2. How do people celebrate?- give at least 5 facts 3. Visuals (drawings)- at least 3 4. Must be colored and neat

2. When your groups has finished, we will put them on the wall for a gallery walk. 3. LAST 20 minutes- gallery walk to view other religions QUICK WRITE: What do various religion holidays have in common? How are they different? HW: Complete World Religions Foldable (Due on Monday 10/24)
