Which features would provide benefits?
Which features could limit a civilization?

3. Geographic Impacts
Geographic features that could impact civilizations:
Rivers
Valleys
Fertile lands
Access to water
Salt or fresh?
Which would be more useful? Why? Are there any uses for the other type?
Deserts
Mountains

4. Geographic Impacts Location
Geographic features could limit where people could settle and build cities.

5. Geographic Impacts Food: What food was available (plants or animals)
What food could be grown

6. Geographic Impacts
System of Government:
Depending on where people could settle, the type of government was different
Which would most likely have a more unified government: cities that were in a general area with easy access to each other or cities divided by physical features such as deserts or mountains?
Why? How would the physical features lead to a more or less unified government?

7. Geographic Impacts Economics
Different areas had different natural resources.
Some would trade for other resources and use the seas and rivers as ‘highways’
