2. Jaywalk First Impression
First thought was the harmony between nature and City. The co-existence relationship that teaches younger generation that it is important to keep our cities green
And to reduce pollution because seeing our “mini environment, like a rooftop garden would help us connect with nature and subconsciously will make hesitant before considering cutting down forest for capitalistic wants.

4. What I learn
Until recently, I thought a rooftop garden was an outlandish idea for rich folks to waste money.
Experiencing in in person for the first time as a student at a college campus changed my perspective because a place with fresh air is just what some students need to take the stress off during finals week. I feel like it greatly functions as a stress reliever and place for nature lover.

This park-like setting was designed to enhance the feeling of community throughout the College and is an integral part of the campus
The Jay Walk features wireless access, patios, decks, benches, lawn areas, chairs and tables for dining.

7. Things to do Enjoy space, the lawn Enjoy lunch and snack on the lawn
Walk around the path without stepping over the flowerbed
To observe the vegetable garden, but don’t steal the vegetable
To smell flowers , not smoking allowed

it cools the building below, if the temperature is 95 degree outside, it would cool down about to 75 degree entering the building.

Also its right across Mt. Sinai Hospital
Accessible by CUNY student, such as City Tech students
Great place for a field trip to make people believe through 1st hand experience.

15. Conclusion
Rooftop garden seems like a ridiculous idea at conception, but during fruition its actually very practical and economically friendly and human interaction friendly.
People that live in the City most likely don’t have a garden because the lack of living space, it’s a great way to re-learn about nature. So the future generation will be less distant from mother nature and hopefully will not be as destructive toward the environment.
