Cultures could not exist without language
Language – a set of spoken sounds, written symbols, or hand gestures that make it possible for people to communicate

Without language, people would not be able to share information or ideas
cultural traits could not be passed onto children

Languages often vary from one culture to another.
Within a country, differences in languages often keep people apart and make it harder to unify a country
6
Language often keeps countries apart by preventing communication
It is difficult to have diplomatic relations with another country if the two countries do not speak each others language.

Often, people are forced to rely on interpreters and translators to communicate with other people who speak a different language. interpreters and translators both deal with language, but in different ways Does anybody know the difference between an interpreter and a translator?

Interpreter – Someone who specializes in spoken language
9
Translator – someone who specializes in written language

In many cases, people who speak different languages are forced to use a third language to communicate with each other. This requires a common world language that most people can understand and use effectively. Can anyone tell me what language often serves as the world’s common language?

In modern history, English has served as the common language of the world
it is considered the international language of business. Even though most people in the United States only know English, most people around the world can speak more than one language – often their native language along with English in places such as Europe, knowing other languages is necessary
