2 UNHLP Overview Convened by Secretary General Ban Ki-moon in March, 2016 20 members + deputies drawn from Governments, NGOs, Multilateral Institutions, the Private Sector, and Unions Chaired by H.E. Luis Guillermo Solis Rivera, President of Costa Rica, and Simona Scarpaleggia, CEO of Ikea Switzerland Produced two reports and numerous supporting documents Leverage the spheres of influence of the High-Level Panel. Inform and inspire action by Government, Business and Civil Society to address constraints and create opportunities for Women's Economic Empowerment.

9 The W20 2017 Communique to the G20
1. Integrate gender analysis and gender budgeting into all its agendas, growth strategy and policy frameworks 2. Advance member state policies toward the ‘25 by 25’ target set by the G20 to reduce the gender labour participation gap. 3. Support women entrepreneurs and female cooperatives to start up and scale their operations, build capacity, ensure their equal access to finance and markets, and accord them their fair share in global value chains. 4. Swiftly bridge the widening digital gender divide and… set up a five year plan for gender-equal digital transformation. 5. Ensure W20 access to the G20 negotiation tracks and G20 Sherpa meetings.
