Environment in 10th EDF 75 CSPs (out of 79 countries)
11 CSPs with environment/FLEGT as non-focal sector or programme 11 CSPs with sustainable energy/sanitation as focal sector (Pacific) 26 CSPs with sustainable rural development/ energy/sanitation as focal/non focal sector References to SEAs (24),CEPs, EIAs

Environment in 10th EDF (regions)
West Africa: Env as non-focal sector (15 Mln €) – biodiversity, FLEGT linked to conflict prevention Central Africa: Mgmt Nat res. Second focal sector (18 Mln €): biodiversity, FLEGT, training Eastern/Southern Africa: Mgmt Nat res. Second focal sector (+/- 80 Mln €) – sustainable land management, water, environmental protection, education, monitoring, coral reef Pacific: Mgmt Nat res. Second focal sector (+/- 36 Mln €) – ecosystems management, biodiversity, sustainable fisheries

focal area rural development:
Biodiversity as cross-cutting issue: some examples in CSPs in ACP countries: Burundi focal area rural development: Improvement water quality lakes and rivers Rehabilitation park Ruvubu (planned but no legal status park yet) Soil conservation, restauration and reforestation.
5
Other examples ACP Ethiopia: promote conservation, use and national and international valorisation of Ethiopian's (agro)-biodiversity in all parts of the country Benin – Technical Assistance to help set up financing mechanism for biodiversity conservation (parks) and also for accord Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger for management Park W ESA-IO Region 25 Mln € programme for sustainable management of biodiversity
6
Honduras: Sustainable management:
Focal sector: The environment and sustainable management of natural resources – promoting forestry reform 3 Objectives, including: Sustainable management: promoting sustainable management of natural resources in order to ensure environmentally sound harvesting (timber and NTFP); protection of watersheds and biodiversity; the promotion of alternatives to wood for energy and agriculture practices based on forest clearing and the prevention of soil erosion
7
Programme (21 Mln €) approved in 2009:
