Minimum Graduation Requirements
20 Credits 4 Regents Exams Plus one Pathway 4 Years of Physical Education A class taken for a full year = 1 credit A class taken for a half year = 0.5 credit Electives = you choose *Some of you may be earning high school credits right now!!

If you do not pass a graduation requirement, you must repeat it until you do!!!!! And you cannot move on to the next level!

Regents Diploma COURSE REQUIREMENTS 4 credits of English
4 credits of Social Studies 3 credits of Math 3 credits of Science 1 credit of Foreign Language 1 credit of Art – Studio Art, Chorus, Band, Design & Drawing, Intro to Engineering Design, Digital Photo 0.5 credit of Health 3.5 credits of Electives – Art, Music, Business, Technology, any other class taken above the minimum requirements (ex: 2nd year of foreign language) 4 passing years of PE – no credit ______________________________ TOTAL = 20 credits + 4 passing years of PE

Advanced Regents Diploma Requirements
3 credits in foreign language and exam or a 5 credit sequence in art, tech (PLTW), Business or BOCES Algebra, Geometry and Algebra 2 Common Core 2 lab science Regents Exams English Common Core US History Regents Global 10 Regents

Scheduling Report Card Grades will determine course selection (i.e. Am I recommended for English 9 Regents or English 9 Advanced? Algebra I or Algebra I-A?) Once you receive your high school schedule, there are minimal changes Your schedule may be changed ONLY if you have been placed in the wrong class You must fill out a drop/add form and turn into guidance Lunch periods and study halls CAN NOT be changed

Attendance Policy In order to receive credit for a course, students must acquire a certain amount of seat time (this means you must be in class!) If a student is absent 28 times from a full year course or 14 times from a half year course, they may not be eligible to receive credit for the course

Project Lead the Way A nationally recognized program designed to offer pre-engineering courses in high school There are 5 courses in the program- students take one course each year, two in junior year The PLTW program is designed to give students interested in pursuing engineering at the college level a head start

Get involved in school and the community Get to know your counselor Listen to the announcements for club and activity information Talk about future plans with your parents Choose your friends wisely…surround yourself with positive people who support your goals
