What we did - Texted student's about payment deadlines- Friday-8/4 Thursday- 8/10 Saturday- 8/19 Don't get dropped from classes! Lone Star College Fall payments are due by August 19. Go to to pay today. The result-lowest drop in history of LSC-M 8-18 3463 students on drop list- 7% dropped 800 students Last year dropped 10.1%

Bi-weekly visits Application Days TSI Testing Dual Credit Registration On-site Orientations 3-4 years ago no consistent person on campus, relationships were strained with some of our bigger campuses. Began onsite orientations for seniors, 70% enrollment from CCHS Orientation TSI testing on campus (continued), if students are on Free and reduced lunch, we waive fee for TSI payment dates on campus, DC increased 400% since 2013 Correlation between DC and penetration rate

13 Summer Melt what 6 counselors and $4500 can do
I have learned how to troubleshoot many of the issues that arise and have had the opportunity to work with and get to know all of the personnel in building C! Goal - to reach students that would ‘melt’ over summer Assist with applied but not enrolled list Results - 2225 students contacted 549 enrolled for Fall 2017 What this means - 100,000+ contact hours $600,000+ in tuition and fees

15 Testimonial As a counselor, the response that I have received from our graduates was immense. Many of our students that decided to attend Lone Star College are students that we have a solid, positive relationship with and have helped throughout high school. It made a difference having a familiar name and face contacting students as opposed to someone they don't know. I set time aside to meet with students on the Lone Star campus to help them with whatever their needs were and I found that the students came and followed through on enrolling for the fall. Whether it was in person, through , or a phone call, students responded! This job helped me gain knowledge that I can now use when helping my seniors apply to Lone Star.
