4 Read Write Inc All Year 1 pupils will be having Read Write Inc phonics and reading sessions 4x a week. There will be a comment from your child’s RWI teacher at the end of each week in their Reading Diary. Celina

5 Reading 4x weekly shared reading in school through Read Write Inc
Additional individual reading once a fortnight from class adult. We recommend daily home supported reading – please record in diary If no comment in the Diary for a fortnight, office will text a reminder. Teachers will not be responsible before 8:50, please do not enter the classroom until 8:45 as the teacher may be preparing for the day or in morning meetings. Encourage children to enter the classroom independently. Morning jobs - book bags and water bottles away , change reading book Morning board learning Register: 9:00 Home Time 3:30 Clubs and DASH: we have lists Any different arrangement: adult must write on the going home board near the classroom entrance. 12 Bits and Pieces! Healthy School Practise: Birthdays Toys
Avoid chocolate, nuts and sweets in lunchboxes Provide a water bottle Provide shorts, T-shirt and pumps for PE Birthdays We celebrate birthdays in class by giving a card and singing and ask you not to send in birthday treats. We do not give out birthday invitations at school. Toys Keep toys at home as they can get broken or lost. Show and Tell items should relate to learning/topic Uniform and belongings Clearly label with your child’s name. This includes their DIS PE kit which must be in school. Please ensure your child has a coat for cold weather! Celina

13 Dates for the diary Photos
The dates for the year (as much as possible!) will be issued out from the office as soon as possible in the Autumn Term. There will also be a copy on each classes parent notice board. Photos New legislation: There will be paper work for you to fill in for permissions in September Vicky
