Free Hitachi Basic Operating System V license to virtualize a newly attached non-Hitachi Data Systems storage system behind a new or existing Hitachi Universal Storage Platform V system. Capacity of the free BOS V license is limited to the capacity of the newly attached 3rd party storage being virtualized (rounded up to the next 4TB increment as required).
Free Hitachi Tiered Storage Manager license capacity for the newly attached non-Hitachi Data Systems storage system. Capacity of the free HTSM license is limited to the capacity of the newly attached 3rd party storage being virtualized (rounded up to the next 4TB increment as necessary) and may not exceed the capacity of the free BOS V license obtained through this program.
Free Hitachi In-System Replication software bundle license capacity for the newly attached non-Hitachi Data Systems storage system. Capacity of the free In-System Replication license is limited to the capacity of the newly attached 3rd party storage being virtualized or the prior purchased In-System Replication license capacity, whichever is the lesser, and may not exceed the capacity of the free BOS V license obtained through this program.
First 10TB of a Hitachi Dynamic Provisioning license for free by taking advantage of the existing “HDP Pricing Program.” This license may be used on the USP V for internal or externally attached capacity. This offer is only available to customers who have not already used the “HDP Pricing Program” in conjunction with this USP V system. All program rules of the “HDP Pricing Program” continue to apply
Maintenance is required (at standard cost) for all free software.
Promotion can be used for any storage capacity licensed during the term of this promotion.
Software licenses remain free for the life of the system licensed. If third-party storage is replaced by HDS storage at a later date, free licenses will be transferred.
