Business problems that lead to evaluating CPM, adopting Prophix, and their subsequent plans for a solution: Cobham had shut down their Virginia location, and relocated the business from there to their San Diego location. These entities were separate. They needed a tool that could sustain their planning, forecasting, and reporting, moving from 2 entities to 1 The M2M ERP can be challenging to work with. Cobham cannot report and analyze the numbers as they’d like Anthony Lepiere, their Finance Manager, used Prophix in his previous role at Datron Global Communications, and recommended us for Cobham They will establish an ODBC connection to M2M They will use Detailed Planning Manager (DPM) for personnel planning Cash flow planning and reporting, sales/revenue planning, variance reporting Client challenges before Prophix (from Shan Kaura and Peter Lay on 3/18/2014 at project close): Data consolidation – Client was having trouble collecting and consolidating data for their reports and budgeting process.   Budgeting / Personnel Planning – Cobham has multiple managers entering for multiple head counts in their budget without any control of how many to new headcounts to hire. Prophix solution (from Shan Kaura and Peter Lay on 3/18/2014 at project close): Centralized calculations for their budgeting model. Data is imported directly from their GL System. A personnel model that pulls in all of the personnel data, schedules are set up to be sent out to managers for data entry. Created DP cube that tracks at the sales order level. Each DPO is a sales order with its own price (Attribute), quantity (input calculation), product type, part number and grouping. Managers are able to enter new sales order freely via schedules and make any changes they see fit in the forecasting model. E.g. (SO # was sold but quantity will be delivered at a later date.
