Graduate Assistants Checklist
Enrolled in a Graduate Program in graduate level coursework Must complete a background check with Verified Credentials Students must release the results of their background check to the university Complete I9, tax forms and personal data form if a new employee The total FTE must not be greater than .50 FTE Must have a job description relating to their field of study International Graduate Teaching Assistants are required to submit the International Graduate Teaching Assistant Certification of Eligibility for Employment form.

Sexual and Gender Based Conduct Training
All assistants and graduate students workers who have not previously completed the training are required to fulfill training requirements upon hire. Training consists of a 32 minute video from the Title IX office followed by a brief questionnaire Students are notified that they must complete the training via and are sent reminders every 7 days thereafter Upon the third notification , the students’ supervisors are copied informing them that the student has not completed the training If the student is notified a fourth time, their tuition benefit is suspended

Online Orientation Resources provided on the Graduate School Website
Orientation is designed to cover policies, expectations, key resources, and answer frequent questions regarding Graduate Assistantships Orientation 2018 will be held online
