Author
Short Story Title
Commentary on Theme
Thesis statement which includes DIDLS to be discussed and thematic statement

4. Body Paragraph Includes: (70 points)
Topic Sentence introducing the DIDLS that will be discussed in the body paragraph
Minimum of three quotes to support DIDLS and how it ties to theme.
Page numbers should follow each sentence with a quote in this format, “a burden in many ways” (317).
Concluding Sentence to reiterate the DIDLS discussed

5. Conclusion Includes: (10 P0ints)
Restatement of thesis
Evaluates and/or draws conclusions about story/theme

6. Organization and fluency (10 P0ints)
To SUM it up:
70 points for body paragraph looking specifically at the topic sentence, development of three quotes and how they are tied to theme/grammar and mechanics + 30 points for introduction and conclusion and organization of paper.
