WELCOME! The Banquet is over and King Duncan has gone to bed. I hope he sleeps with a night light! Be ready for “Macbeth” Act II. tuesday, 05 DECEmber 2017 AP Literature and Composition Mr. sanders TODAY’S OBJECTIVE: STUDENTS WILL READ FOR UNDERSTANDING.

2 Macbeth in Art 1. Describe the scene on the poster.
2. What makes the witches look disturbing? 3. What colors are used in the art? And what do they contribute to the mood of the poster? 4. What effect do the streaked lines in the upper left corner have on the poster?

3 Macbeth Act II No Regrets?
Macbeth’s character is not purely evil, but in Act II he overcomes his reservations long enough to kill King Duncan and two of the king’s guards. Afterward, Macbeth reveals his inner state.

4 Macbeth Act II No Regrets?
Search Act II for three (3) quotations that disclose Macbeth’s feelings about the murders. Then draw three (3) daggers (see example). Write a quotation on each dagger in the upper half of the blade. Explain the quotation in your own words in the lower half of the blade. Below the third dagger, describe Macbeth’s general state of mind after the murders.
