5. New Feature: Search Bar
MIAP v.10 provides a new search feature. Simply type the name of a session. By deleting the text in your search bar, your original session list will be restored.

6. New Feature: Actions Dropdown
Actions Dropdown: Clicking on the actions drop-down menu displays the additional session functionality for the “current” session.

8. Actions: Session Attributes
This function allows a session to “open automatically”. With this function enabled, your session will “auto-launch” when you log into MIAP.
To enable this function, select your session, click “Actions”, “Session Attributes”, and check “Open automatically”.
This functions the same as “Auto-Start” within Secure Web Access.

9. Actions: Open
Highlight the session you wish to connect to and then click Actions button – Click on “Open,” this will connect you to the session.
Note: You can also double-click on the session to connect.

10. Actions: Duplicate Functionality
The Duplicate function allows you to create a copy of an existing session. You are now able to rename and change the terminal type. This function is similar to the “copy session” function within Secure Web Access.

STEP 1
Highlight the session you wish to Duplicate. Then, click on the Actions Dropdown located on the bottom left hand of the screen and select ‘Duplicate.’

Here you can type in the name of the duplicated session by typing it in the box ‘name’.
Note:
You cannot rename the original session name.

15. Actions: Delete
The Delete button only allows you to delete sessions that have been duplicated. Highlight the duplicated session and click on ‘Actions,’ then click ‘Delete.’
Note: You can not delete the default sessions assigned to you.

To hide a column use the ‘Preferences’ button. Click on the Actions Tab and select the Preferences button. The ‘Links List Preferences’ menu displays. Simply uncheck a column to hide.

The Search Bar is located at the bottom of the links screen.
The Search Bar allows you to search for any particular session. You can
narrow your even more search using the ‘Filter Search By’ menu. Click on the
“Actions Dropdown” and select ‘Preferences.’ By filtering ‘Name’ from the
dropdown items you can search by the just the session name.

18. Actions: Help
Selecting ‘Help’ on any menu will display specific information related to that screen.
See the example on the next page to see what you will receive when you click the ‘Help’ button.

21. New Feature: IND$FILE Transfer Request
To access this new feature, use one of the following options:
Select “File,” “Transfer,” “IND$FILE Transfer Request” from terminal window.
If you currently have an IND$FILE window open, you can select “Show Requests”
The IND$FILE Transfer Request window.
The feature allows the user to view, execute and delete any previously saved “Transfer Requests.”
See next slide for additional information.

22. New Feature: Save IND$FILE Transfer Request
“Add request” Function
Once you have successfully setup your IND$FILE (selected your local and remote directory), you can click “Add request” which will place this in your transfer window for future use.

23. New Feature: Execute IND$FILE Transfer Request
“Execute” Saved Request
Select a saved request in the IND$FILE Transfer Request window.
Select “Execute” to initiate this request.

To View a saved Transfer Request:
Select the “Show requests” action button.
“Show requests” will bring up the transfer request window which will allow you to execute any previously saved transfers.

25. IND$FILE Transfer Request: Additional Information
To run a saved transfer, select it and click Execute.
To delete a transfer request, select it and click Remove.
What does each column mean?
Name:  The name of the transfer request. Transfer Details:  The type of transfer (send or receive), the name(s) of the file(s) transferred, and the destination. Type:  Whether files are translated during transfer, as specified by the Transfer method option in the IND$FILE Transfer dialog box. If Exists:  The action taken if a file with the same file specification as the file you are trying to create is found, as specified by the If file exists option in the IND$FILE Transfer dialog box. Format:  The record format for files sent to the host, as specified in the IND$FILE Transfer dialog box.

26. New Feature: Paste Next
The Paste Next feature is used to paste data from the "Paste Next" buffer to the current cursor position.
The Paste Next buffer holds any data that exceeded the input field
where it was pasted, provided that data was not truncated. Only as much data as will fit in the input field is pasted, and the Paste Next buffer is updated to include only data that has not yet been pasted.
Note:
This command is available only when data is present in the Paste Next buffer.

27. New Feature: Copy/Paste Settings
The Copy/Paste Settings dialog box is used to specify options for copy and paste settings. You will learn more about what each box represents, in the next few slides.
To access ‘Copy/Paste Settings’ go to Edit on the file menu, then click Copy/Paste Settings.

28. Copy/Paste Settings: Additional Information
Copy options:      Copy input fields only - Select this option to only copy data from input fields. Data from protected fields is replaced with spaces when placed on the Clipboard. Use entire display when there is no selection - Select this option to apply the Cut, Copy, Copy Table, and Append commands to the entire terminal display when nothing is selected. When this option is not selected, these commands are disabled unless you've selected data on the terminal display.
Paste options:       Wrap text to next line - When this option is selected, using the Paste command fills in the first field with as much Clipboard data as fits. Any remaining data is pasted to the next available line. Subsequent lines of data are pasted so that they align vertically with the starting cursor position. When this option is not selected, text that overflows the field is truncated. Use field delimiters - When this option is selected and you use the Paste command, data is pasted into the next available input field after reaching a new line character on the Clipboard. When a new line character is encountered, pasting starts on the next row, at the same column where the cursor was positioned when the paste operation began. If Wrap text to next line is not selected, data is truncated at the end of a line regardless of whether Use field delimiters is selected. Mask protected fields - Select this option if you want to paste data from the Clipboard to a host screen so that the data is only pasted where it overlays input fields. Any data that overlays protected fields is lost. Replace tabs with - Select this option to replace tabs in the Clipboard data with the character(s) you specify in the associated text box. Restore starting cursor position after paste - By default, the host cursor is positioned at the end of the data following a paste operation. Select this option to restore the host cursor to its starting position after the paste operation is complete.

30. New Feature: Custom Color Palette
Custom color palette is a new feature.
To customize your colors double click on a specific color. The custom Color Chooser screen appears.

32. File Transfer Protocol (FTP): FTP Options
To access FTP Options, open an FTP Terminal Session, click on ‘Setup’ then ‘FTP Options’.

33. FTP Append
Append multiple files from the server into one local file, using the following steps:
1) Open the FTP session. Click on Setup>FTP Options

2) On the Options window Change “If file exists:” to append. Click on OK

3) Once you have entered your logon credentials, USERID/password, highlight the file that you want to append and right click on it. Click on Download file to location

4) When the Reflection for the Web Local File screen comes up click on browse

5) The following screen will come up. You need to put in a file name which will be stored on your local files
directory on your workstation. Click on Save

6) Once you have clicked on save the following screen will come up “Reflection for the Web” Local File will show
where your file is being saved to in the file directory on your workstation. Click on OK

7) You will see a RWEB screen that shows you the data being transferred from the host file to the append file that
you just created. This screen will appear until the transfer is complete

8) Once the transfer is complete, under your Local Files you will see the file that you just created and transferred data to from the host.

9) You can go back to step 3 and right click on the file that you want to append and click on Download file to location

10) When the Reflection for the web Local file screen comes up it will have the local file name populated and
you can click on OK to transfer additional files from the host to the appended file on your local directory.
You can append as many files as you want to the local directory file. If you want to create a new file name to
append to click on browse and you will be prompted to put in a new file name.

11) This is an example of what the appended file looks like after three files were transferred from the host.
The files were Junk 1, Junk 2, and Junk 3 to the appended file usersuppliedname.txt on the local directory.
The file was opened in notepad.
