Read Chapter 1 (pages 1-16) and complete the study guide. Due Friday
As you read Chapter 1, consider the following:

How are the following themes being developed?
Dreams of a better life can make difficult situations more bearable.

8. Friday, March 17 Academic Vocabulary –
Choose one of the activities and complete the Day 4 box.

Take a copy of the SAT Writing and Language passage from the table. List the answers on your bell work paper. Number your answers to correspond with the numbers on the passage. DO NOT WRITE ON THE COPY!
