3 Roman Education Plebeian children were sent to work instead of going to school so that they could provide for their families They learned trades such as metal-working and leather- working

4 Roman Education Patrician children were tutored by their fathers and slaves until they were around 7 years old After that, they went to school, where classes were held in public buildings and private homes while being taught by educated Greek slaves

5 Roman Education School days usually began early in the morning and students would walk to school with their supplies in a leather bag Most students would buy breakfast on their way to school
