Equalities To compare people or things in terms of being equal and/or not equal use the following formula tan + adjective + como as as

Paco es tan alto como Ana. Paco is as tall as Ana.
tan = as como = as Paco es tan alto como Ana. Paco is as tall as Ana. Ana es tan alta como Paco. Notice adjective agreement with the 1st person in the sentence!

To say things are not equal:
Add a “no” before the verb. La clase de inglés no es tan interesante como la clase de español. English class isn’t as interesting as Span.class.

Tengo tanta tarea como mi amigo. I have as much homework as my friend.
Equalities with Nouns To say “as much as” tanto,a + noun + como Tengo tanta tarea como mi amigo. I have as much homework as my friend.

Tengo tantos libros como Chela. I have as many books as Chela.

There aren’t any irregulars. Example: It is OK to say:
La pizza es tan buena como las papas fritas. Pizza is as good as french fries.
