Supersymmetric standard model and SUSY flavor problem
Supersymmetry (SUSY): Fermion boson e.g. Quark Squark Hierarchy problem is solved Gaugino Gauge boson Superparticles are not discovered SUSY must be broken (Soft) SUSY breaking terms are necessary e.g. Soft sfermion mass terms: Generation Arbitrary sfermion masses and mixings would induce unacceptably large FCNC processes (SUSY flavor problem) Severe constraints: e.g. January 13, 2004 Mitsuru Kakizaki

Idea SUSY SM with soft breaking terms: GUTs:
Severe constraints on parameters Detectable FCNC and CP violation GUTs: Unification of quark and lepton flavor SUSY GUTs: Well motivated by gauge coupling unification Unification of mass matrices of squarks and sleptons By investigating phenomena in hadron sector we can make predictions in lepton sector, and vice versa SUSY GUTs are probed with K, B physics and January 13, 2004 Mitsuru Kakizaki
