Interns: Opportunities globally – over 4000 recruited across the group in Approx 160 ops in UK for 2015 – cover a broad range of business areas. Most 12 months due to UK Uni set up, some shorter but majority of summer placements are in France and Germany. All roles are recruited via the website. UK roles now live until 12th Dec (Airbus) and will join the business in July/August.
Grads: UK hosts the programme, extremely competative – applications open until 28th Nov (Airbus) 31st Dec (D&S). Roles mainly engineering but some support functions. Two year structured but not rigid programme comprised on rotational placements, supported by Buddy/Line Manager/Placement Manager/Career Mentor. Join as a ready made community but have individual experience on programme as can be tailored to you.
VIE – Volunteer for International Experience. An opportunity to fulfil a set role in the business – recruited throughout the year depending on business need. Fixed term contract – no longer than 24 months. Ran by UBI France to promote international experience for recent graduates. Must be under 28 years and EU Citizen. Cant do placement in home country. France does not host them. Application and interview process just like Experienced Hire.
Final Year Thesis and PhD – opportunities year round on the website suggesting a variety of projects that you could get involved with. The process is more structured in France and Germany although we do have opportunities in the UK. Most come from developing networks during an internship or through the links the University has with the company. You can see live ops on the website and apply directly.
Direct entry – few and far between but set permanent roles within the business, looking for high achieving graduates with a clearly demonstrated interest in the industry.
