2 Abstract In a bid to ‘do more for less’, we usually cut down testing efforts as that’s most easy thing to do! What is the effect of this? It’s anybody’s guess, poor quality. Instead, institutionalising and continually improving the testing process in line with the best practices can provide the much needed impetus, confidence and the assurance in software quality. This presentation will detail about the whys and how of test process improvement keeping in sight the TMMi mandated ways of working

3 The Challenge All organisations, no matter the economic climate, are now being challenged to ‘do more for less’ Historically this reduction in time and funding has meant that testing and product quality can suffer Instead of cutting out vital activities to achieve savings the processes need to be reinforced To support the new marketplace, it is imperative to revisit the existing test processes and identify areas for improvement

The story leads to the conclusion “Be like Michelangelo or else, you must follow process”.
