Vice-Rector's Office for Scientific Policy and Research
The mission of the Vice-Rector's Office is to promote, coordinate and manage the research, innovation and research result transfer activities at the Universidad de Granada (UGR).
3
In order to do this, it: Stimulates the UGR's participation, through its researchers and research groups, in regional, national and European research, development and innovation programmes, increasing the funding obtained for the development of its activities. Effectively communicates funding opportunities, guiding and advising our researchers as they prepare and present their proposals. Increases the funding for the UGR's scientific infrastructures, coordinating participation in calls for proposals for regional, national or European research programmes. Promotes the specialisation of research staff and research grant holders at the Universidad de Granada, encouraging their participation in the various calls for mobility support, attendance at conferences, organisation of conventions etc. Provides administrative support for the Universidad de Granada's research promotion policies through its Vice-Rector's Office for Political Science and Research, with particular reference to the UGR's Special Research Programme. Coordinates the research management procedures in which other Departments of the UGR participate, simplifying the processes involved and acting as a point of contact between researchers and the university administration.”

Phases 2 and 3: Project planning and project implementation. The application is the guide for controlling the proper implementation. It is not a mere declaration of intentions: it must be fulfilled Control is critical during the implementation phase: Check if the implementation of the project conforms to the planned (budgeted) Activate corrective actions during implementation, and not when the project is completed. Corrective actions are usually very simple: request for an alteration. Economic and Research Justifications Office. May 12th, 2013

Meet the deadlines for expenses and payments in the decision granting Observe the approved budget or its modifications Justify to the grantor authority within the established deadlines It is a mandatory act, perhaps the most important. This involves two different actions: -Justification of the activity: making a scientific report -Economic justification of the use made of the funds received Proceed with the reimbursement of the received funds in the event of breach of duty or improper implementation Attend eventual problems resulting from audits and controls Economic and Research Justifications Office.
