Resources By Yamen El-Refaie Grade 3A
2
Resources A resource is a source or supply from which benefit is produced.
3
Types of resources There are many different types of resources such as: Economic resources Biological resources Labor or human resources Land or natural resources In this power point, I will discuss natural resources because it’s the most important in our lives.
4
Natural resources Natural resources are resources that are found only in the environment to satisfy our needs.
5
Types of natural resources
Natural resources can be categorized on the basis of renewability: 1- Non renewable resources (cannot be replaced) 2- Renewable resources
6
Non-Renewable resources
Non-renewable resources are formed over very long periods of time (centuries). Since their rate of formation is extremely slow, they cannot be replaced once they are used. Ex. Coal, petroleum, and natural gas
7
Renewable Resources They can be replenished or reproduced somewhat quickly. Ex. Agricultural resources, fish, other animals, forests, soil. Some resources, like sunlight, water, air, and wind, are called perpetual resources because they are available continuously, though at a limited rate. Their quantity is not affected by human consumption.

RECYCLE * REUSE* REDUCE
The Three R’s RECYCLE * REUSE* REDUCE They help you use your resources wisely! Recycle, Reduce, and Reuse is the process of collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash(plastic, paper, aluminum, etc.) and turning them into new products. By recycling and reusing we will reduce wasting our resources.
10
In addition we can save resources by turning of the water when we brush our teeth, turn of the lights when not in use and use green energy.
