2 crater- a large bowl-shaped hole on the surface of a planet
A crater is usually formed by a meteorite or an explosion.

3 speck- a tiny bit of something that can barely be seen
Mom cleaned so well that there wasn't a speck of dust left in the house.

Ella perceives that you like her as a great friend.

5 planet- an object that circles around the sun or another big star
Earth is the name of the planet that we live on.

6 telescope- a tool that uses lenses to make distant objects seem closer
My brother uses his telescope to look at the stars in the sky.

7 A meteorologist is considered to be an expert in the field of weather.
expert- a person who has a lot of knowledge, skill, or experience about something specific A meteorologist is considered to be an expert in the field of weather.

8 appear- to come into view and be seen
The magician made a tiger appear in a cage.

9 asteroid- a rock that orbits the sun
If a huge asteroid would hit Earth it would cause a lot of damage.

10 image- a picture or photograph of something
Our teacher showed us an image that included the planets in our solar system.

11 satellite- an object that orbits a larger object in space
The satellite was 1,500 feet above the Earth’s atmosphere.
