2 Initial Commitment Thank you for your interest in committing to Hitmen VBC! We look forward to hopefully working with you soon and making you be the best player that you can be. Please read through this presentation to get an idea of what to expect and you can officially commit to the club at the next practice. Once a player commits to the club, the next 2 weeks will be spent evaluating all players that are in the program to determine the best fit for them in regards to team placement. The top players in each position will go to the 1st team, 2nd best to the 2nd team and so forth…

3 Club Philosophy Xcel Athletes’ Volleyball Clubs strive to provide the best training possible so players can reach their top potential.  This is completed through balancing respect and attention to detail, along with creating a culture that promotes rapport and communication between the players and coach.  This coaching style leads to a more dynamic winning environment in which the mutual respect between the player and coach allows for better growth through hard work and communication. Respect Attention to Detail Hard Work Rapport Patience Communication

4 Elite Dedicated Training
What do we offer? Elite Dedicated Training Our practices are modeled from the principles of the USAV National Teams and High Performance training. We focus on individual development as well as team development so every player will receive the same attention and dedication regardless of their initial ability. This in turn helps the team and the entire program as the old saying goes "you are only as strong as your weakest link". All coaches are at a minimum IMPACT certified through USAV and have cleared State and Federal background checks. Lead Coach Practices A CAP trained coach will be at every practice and makes up the practice plans for each team. The lead coaches keep track of when the drills/activities begin and end and ensures that all teams receive the best training possible.

5 Club Benefits Continued
Video Evaluation All of our players go through evaluation of their play in both practices and tournaments through video analysis. A coach can keep telling a player something that they are performing incorrectly a hundred times, but a video of that same player shown to them will make them understand it immediately. It is because of this that we offer both immediate video feedback (during practice) and video review of tournament play for the entire team. Complete Statistical Analysis Statistics are a vital tool that are used by both the coaches and the players to see what needs to be worked on. Each team’s coach will compile both individual and team statistics.

6 Club Benefits Continued
Player Evaluations The coaching staff with the assistance of the lead coach will provide an initial, mid-term and final player evaluation to the player. The player will meet with the coach and go over the evaluation to ensure complete understanding of it as this is yet another tool used to maximize the players development. Workout Program Supervised workout programs consisting of plyometrics, core/stability training, speed/agility training, and upper/lower body weight lifting will be conducted (depending on team/age level).

7 Club Rules Please make sure that BOTH parent and player initials each.
Fees are for membership into the club for the ENTIRE season. Should a player decide to stop participating, full payment is still required. Delinquent Behavior (Drugs, Alcohol, Conduct) May result in anything from a warning to expulsion from the club.

8 Playing Time & Practices
Club Rules 24 Hour Policy Please allow time to pass before communicating any negative feelings or emotions. Sleeping on a situation allows everyone to think clearer without being emotional. Playing Time & Practices Playing time in tournaments is not guaranteed and payment is for the training in practices. Privilege to Practice It is a privilege to practice and the player may be sent home from practice if practice rules are not being followed and/or their conduct is detrimental to the development of other players.

9 Attendance Policy MANDATORY Practices… Playing time is earned from what coaches see in practice We also understand that some may play other sports or are involved in other activities. COMMUNICATION AND PROPER TIME MANAGEMENT ARE KEYS TO THE SUCCESS OF ANY PLAYER.

10 Can’t Make Practice It is the responsibility of the PLAYER to contact his/her coach to notify them of their absence. Unexcused absences will result in greater consequences. Play a SCHOOL sport? Schedule must be ed to

13 Other Club Sport? It is common for our younger athletes to participate in more than one club sport at a time. While we have an established hierarchy for school sports/activities, we can’t plan for every circumstance… Proper balancing of the schedules is expected. If you need to miss time in volleyball, you should miss a similar amount of time in your other activities. We are happy to work with the players to communicate how to best do this!

14 Practice Start Practices will start PROMPTLY at the scheduled time. Athletes are expected to be lined up ready to begin practice when the whistle is blown. “Lombardi Time” Excessive Lateness will result in having the player being sent home if showing up late and thus marked as unexcused.

15 Practice Schedule Practice: 2-3x Per Week (Days/Times Vary)
Practice times will begin no earlier than 4:15 PM* and end no later than 10:00 PM. Hitmen JH Online Practice Schedule * Players should plan to leave for practice straight from their school when school lets out. However, if this is not possible, and if a player lives 25+ minutes away from the practice facility, lenience will be given for those that get out of school after 3:00 PM. However, this must be communicated with the Club Director at the beginning of the season to give notice of what time school gets out.
