2 About SOM Started as Centre for Management Studies in September 2000.
The Program was started for exclusively Engineering graduates. Later renamed as a School of Management As on date Eleven Full time faculty are Serving in the department Offering specializations in Finance, HR, Marketing and Operations Management areas.

11 Research Projects The School has undertaken 1 Major Project on NIT systems in India. The school has completed Three minor and One sponsored Projects. These Projects were mostly CSR CD activities, financial Inclusion and Equity Research. Social-Impact Research of NTPC has been completed for SRHQ-Hyderabad. 2 ICSSR and 2 DST Projects and one more from NTPC are in pipeline.

The school has conducted training Programs on 1. FDP on Management Insights for Engineering Faculty 2. Leadership Development for Students 2. Market structures etc are to name a few The School is also Conducting regular training Programs for IOCL dealers which is for two days on Management Insights for dealers Named DISHA. Five batches are completed successfully and another 18 batches need to be trained in due Course.

13 Activities at SOM Abhiyan Club :
Abhiyan club organizes events like Business Plans, New product Marketing, Virtual Stock Market, Group discussions, Personal Interviews etc. To inculcate the reading habit in students, book club was started in 2009 and currently book club has 130 management books on various management concepts. CURA (A National Level Management Meet): “CURA” is a momentous management meet conducted by the students of SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT, National Institute of Technology, Warangal. CURA signifying “Thoughtfulness” is a platform to unleash the potential of the management students all over India in February every year.
