World Accreditation Day is celebrated on the 9th of June annually. It is a global initiative of the IAF and ILAC, to raise awareness of the importance of accreditation. The WAD theme:
“ACCREDITATION: Delivering a Safer World.

3. JANAAC WAD WEEK OF EVENTS 2018
This year, JANAAC implemented a number of accreditation public education and awareness activities across a week of activities.
‘Accreditation Week’ was observed from June 11, culminating on World Accreditation Day (WAD), June 9, 2018, with the hosting of JANAAC’s World Accreditation day church service and Brunch and participation in the Inaugural Build Expo.

To bolster the success of the its integrated promotions strategy for its WAD Week of activities, JANAAC published a Supplement in the Gleaner on Friday June 8, 2018 which has National readership highlighting JANAAC’s journey of celebrating 10 years and introducing the JANAAC team.

6. WAD Commemorative Church Service
To officially close World Accreditation Week 2018 members of JANAAC’s Council (Board of Directors), Accreditation Ambassadors, Management, Staff, customers and well-wishers participated in a corporate worship service at Andrews Memorial Seventh Day Adventist Church, in Kingston on Saturday, June 9, 2018.

7. JANAAC’S MID-YEAR ASSESSOR CONCLAVE
JANAAC’s Mid-Year Assessor Conclave was held on of June 7, 2018 at the Terra Nova Hotel. This year’s presentations included 1) CEOs update on issues in the global Accreditation Community 2) Mr David Tomlinson made a presentation on the estimation of Measurement Uncertainty.

8. JANAAC World Accreditation Day 2018 CEO Breakfast & church service
JANAAC’s Brunch was the major celebratory activity for WAD in the Agency. Like JANAAC’s Mid-Year Assessor Conclave this event was held at Knutsford Court Hotel. Create awareness of the role of accreditation among targeted decision makers.

The Inaugural Build Expo & Conference 2018 is an event that aims at gathering together the many entities of the building trade to network, promote ideas in advancing trends and showcase the breathtaking arrays of the industry’s products and services to an enthusiastic public audience. Some of the goals for the Build Expo & Conference 2018:
Establishing educating and entertaining experiences ,Perfecting tools for nation building and development, Expanding dialogue aimed at progress and cooperation, Facilitating international outreach and economic opportunities, Promoting clean alternative energy sources and ecologically conscious mediation within the built and natural environments Emphasizing technology’s role as an equalizer in economic advancement.
