Why is Contractor Management important to CNL?
What is Contractor Management? Its more than just safety… Activities associated with ensuring CNL select and work with, safe, compliant, and competent suppliers that will deliver the intended outcomes of CNL’s requirements and provide best value to CNL. Why is Contractor Management important to CNL? Contractor management is one of CNL’s top 10 enterprise risks. The program has been established to co-ordinate and address a number of improvement opportunities that will be necessary to provide adequate and appropriate arrangement for contracted work over its life cycle. What are the key activities that CNL is working on? How are they beneficial to our contractors? 1 Leveraging ISN (a third party service provider) for safety, quality, insurance, training delivery and performance management From a training perspective, contractors can complete the required training, at their own leisure, as appose to a classroom style format 2 Harmonizing site conditions based on contractor’s classification Contractors won’t be required to review site conditions that are not applicable to their scope of work 3 Clarifying on, off and re-boarding requirements, and redefining the role of CNL representative (i.e. Sponsor) with respect to control and oversight arrangements Streamlining and simplifying the on, off and re-boarding process, and creating efficiencies in the process 4 Standardizing templates for efficiencies Standardizing and simplifying SOW templates to provide clarity around key requirements
