INIFELD FLY RULE a. A fair fly that can be caught with normal effort by an infielder. b. 1st and 2nd base minimum needs to be occupied. c. Less than 2 outs. d. Ball is live, batter is out and runners advance at their own risk. e. If an infield fly becomes foul, it is treated as a foul ball. f. A bunt or line drive is not considered an infield fly Infield Fly Rule

When the ball reaches its highest point extend your right arm above your head and verbalize “In Field Fly, the batter is out” or if near a foul line, “In field Fly, if fair, the batter is out.”

INTERFERENCE When a RUNNER OR BATTER impedes, hinders or confuses any fielder. Intentionally or Unintentionally Immediate DEAD BALL. RUNNER/BATTER is out.

OBSTRUCTION When a DEFENSIVE PLAYER impedes or hinders a batter/runner. Intentionally or Unintentionally DELAYED DEAD BALL. The runner will be awarded the base they would have gotten to if there was no obstruction.

Raise the left arm parallel to the ground and verbalize “Obstruction”.
Let Play continue. Award bases as necessary after all play ends.
