2 Our Schedule 8:10-8:40- Morning stations
8:40-11:00- ELA (reading & writing) 11:05-11:35- Lunch 11:40-12:00- Recess 12:00-1:35- Math 1:40-2:40- Specials Snack 2:50-3:40- Science/ Social Studies/ pack-up 3:50- Dismissal

3 Things to know… PE is everyday. Please bring or wear tennis shoes. Practice tying shoes at home. Library Day is on Friday. Don’t forget your books! Snack and water bottle Dress code (girl’s tops, dresses, shorts) Volunteer Background Check: All volunteers must complete a background check. The “Volunteer Application” can be found on the “Community” tab of the TISD website. Birthdays: No pizza, balloons, flowers Please send in a note if you child is out for any reason. Send money in labeled envelope.

4 Homework and Daily Practice
Monthly Reading log and take home readers- coming soon! I will be sending home different skills to practice as we learn them.

5 Folders Please send all correspondence in the red folder so that it does not get misplaced. On Wednesdays, your child will also bring home a multicolored “Wednesday folder”. This may have important forms, flyers from the school, and work depending on the week. Please be sure to check the folder each Wednesday and return it on Thursday.

6 Conferences Conferences will be scheduled later this semester to discuss your child’s progress. If you desire a conference at another time, please contact me to schedule one.

Math Student recognizes and writes numbers 0-20 Student counts sets of objects up to 20 Basic Addition/Subtraction from 10 Count to 100-count by 1’s and 10’s Count down from 20 2D shapes- circle, square, triangle, rectangle 3D shapes- rectangular prism, cone, cube, sphere

9 Academic Expectations
Language Arts Identify 52 letters(upper and lowercase), 26 letter sounds (lowercase) Identify 48 high frequency words Rhyming-identify and orally generate a rhyme Decoding CVC words-(cat, hip, top, bed, etc.) Independent Reading Level of D by the end of year (please see books at tables) Report Card
