All major cities, in both LDC and MDC’s are bustling centers. Major cities never sleep. People are always on the move. The quality of houses range from mansions to huts/slums.

3. The biggest difference between cities in MDC’s and LDC’s lie in their ability to cope with the huge population. MDC’s cities have grown slowly and because these countries have substantial financial resources, the city has been able to develop adequate infrastructure. This includes
Fire protection
Roads
Medical facilities
Sewer systems
Transportation

LDC’s major cities have grown very rapidly and governments have not been able to keep up with people’s needs.
They do not have resources to build adequate infrastructure.
Half of the people in LDC’s cities live on the streets of in slums without proper shelter, water or sewage. Life expectancies are low.

People take up their own method of survival of Informal economy by begging, shining shoes, busking, collecting recyclables, etc.
