“Our world is more interconnected than ever before. Global flows, people, capital, technology, “know-how”, fashion, lifestyles, media images and ideologies influence society, culture and the individual…future generations, in order to function in a global world, will understand the value of intercultural competencies and be prone to seek knowledge and experiences outside their home country” (Stier, 2003). Study just about anywhere on exchange, depending on a combination of your program of study and language abilities One semester, full year, or summer programs available Credits towards your concentration or electives The best time to go is typically during your third year so it is important to start planning as early as first year

Worldwide destinations with ISEP: The International Student Exchange Program is a network of 300 colleges and universities in 42 countries cooperating to provide affordable access to international education for a diverse student population. Students pay Laurentian tuition, residence and meal plan. Most fields of study are available Explore France with the Ontario/Rhones-Alpes program: Study on exchange at one of the fifteen universities in France. Please note that students must be proficient in the French language in order to study at the university level. Most fields of study are available Introductory Spanish in Querétaro, Mexico :The LU Summer Spanish Immersion Program (SSIP) allows students to spend four weeks in May studying Spanish in one of Mexico's greatest cities while earning 6 arts credits. Space is limited to twenty participants. Kon ni chi wa! Study in Japan: The STEP program at Saitama University provides students with the opportunity to study both the Japanese language and culture

Financial matters Before leaving, you pay the following to Laurentian:
1 year LU tuition fees $5,751.50 1 year incidentals $650.38 1 year Residence $6,285 1 year meal plan $3000 TOTAL $15,687 The above is based on the costs for one full-year student participating in ISEP during the academic year. *Costs are subject to change without notice. Consider the following to assist with the costs: Scotiabank Mobility Scholarships – value varies on number of applicants OSAP or bank loans LU scholarships and bursaries Your savings – start now!

ELIGIBILITY Priority deadlines: Have a minimum overall 70% average
If you are found to be a suitable candidate to represent Laurentian abroad, you will be offered an application Schedule an interview to determine your suitability Attend an information session Have permission from the department Chair or Academic Advisor Have a minimum overall 70% average Priority deadlines: August 10th for students applying to most programs beginning between January and April January 15th for students applying to programs beginning between May and October (ORA & OBW only have the one deadline, regardless of which semester you are applying for).
