Energy Efficiency Programs brought to you by: Act 129: Beyond the Bulb Association of Energy Engineers January 18, 2018 Hollywood Casino, Grantville PA pplelectric.com/businessrebates

2 Act 129 Update Beyond the Bulb
Presented by Joe Walter CLEAResult Account Manager Harry Devine PPL Key Account Manager

3 Who Are We? CLEAResult operates utility energy efficiency programs around the country We implement PPL’s Act 129 Commercial and Industrial programs Our goal is to move the marketplace to a new level of energy efficiency – We change the way people use energy

4 Act 129 Energy Efficiency Legislation
PA State Law Enacted 2008 Requires all public electric utilities to reduce impact on the electrical grid Rate payer funded Three phases, two completed Phase III ends May 31, 2021

33 Think Outside the Bulb Thank you Joe.
To sum up, there are many opportunities that a food manufacturing facility can look to for energy savings. After previewing just a few examples today, we hope to have shown that the opportunities expand to more than just lighting. We call this “thinking outside the bulb” - while lighting may be the top of mind energy saving item, it is not the only measure to consider. Think about the things you do every day in your process and production. Consider what changes would make your business more efficient, faster, more productive or less costly. These changes could save you energy. Get us involved in the discussion and planning of these types of projects to help you identify the potential. Again, If a project can demonstrate kWh savings, then there is a good chance it can be qualified for a rebate from PPL. >>And Lisa will now wrap it up >>
