Why High Speed? Missed data High speed means a higher sampling rate. Conventional analog input cards may have a sampling rate as low as 125us. The NX-HAD can sample at 5us, capturing more data and more importantly, high speed signals that a conventional analog input would miss. Low sampling rate High sampling rate

4 NX-HAD□□□ □ High speed synchronous 4 Input --402 = PNP, 401 = NPN
There are two part numbers available, one for PNP and one for NPN. This is for an external trigger, which is unique to Omron. 1)The NX-HAD is a 24mm wide module, twice as wide as a standard NX IO module 2)The NX-HAD was designed for the NX102 controller on the local NX102 bus. When used with a EtherCat coupler, the resolution will drop to 20us. 3)What make the NX-HAD unique is the isolation between the 4 channels of input. Competitive units do not have this isolation, and as a result, their resolution is reduced due to adjacent channel noise. 4)Omron’s NX-HAD is the only high speed analog input module to offer 5us resolution on all four inputs. 5 Rotating Part Inspection
Vibration Sound Torque Acceleration Rotational testing is one area where high speed analog inputs are needed. In this application, sensors for vibration, sound (microphone), torque and acceleration are used to characterize a part during rotational movement by a servo. The characteristics for a good part are then compared to the part under test to determine its quality.

6 In Process Spot Weld Inspection
Eddy Current Resistance Non-destructive For spot welding, there are weld characteristics that can be documented that indicate a quality weld. Two of those are “eddy current measurement” and “resistance” . These can only be measured with either analog equipment and a PC or by a PLC and a high speed analog card.

7 PC Based Analog Detection
Replace with NX102 and NX-HAD Systems that are using the National Instruments or PC based high speed analog test equipment Wherever rotating parts or equipment are tested. Look for where they are being tested and recommend the NX-HAD The QC engineer my be a better target, they will be measured on quality. Reduced Down Time, Higher reliability PLC instead of PC, Cloud connectivity

8 PC Based Weld Montoring
Replace with NX102 and NX-HAD SQL High Speed Analog Input Eddy Current Sensors Systems that are using Amada in line test equipment and local PC based data collection Look for the weld inspection part of the manufacturing facility, see how it is being done, and then recommend the NJ and NX-HAD as a solution. The QC dept may be a place to sell this solution. In many instances, the control engineer is the implementer, QC engineer has his goals tied to quality.
