In this day and age, it seems that a lot of people communicate by instant message. It is a fun, convenient and quick way to chat with your friends, and confuse older people. As you know, we’ve been talking about cells and microscopes in class, and we’ve also talked about some of the first people to discover cells, Anton Van Leeuwenhoek and Robert Hooke. They used very basic microscopes to observe pond water and cork, respectively. Do you ever wonder what they were like? Aren’t you just bubbling over with questions about science in the 1600s that you are simply dying to ask them? Well, now is your chance! Your task is to write an instant messenger conversation between you and one of the scientists above. See the rubric below for what it should include. You may feel free to ask your scientist about life, recreation, or anything else in the course of your conversation. Remember to be creative and have fun!
