4 Background After a disaster there is an immediate need to begin recovery operations The scene is chaotic as workers try to organize equipment to accomplish the recovery task Tracking equipment and having situational awareness of progress are keys to a successful recovery

5 Problems to Solve No easy way to manage disaster recovery
No way to figure out resources availability Duplicate and out of date data Central repository updated in real time

6 Project Overview GPS data will be used to track resources
All GPS devices should report to a central database User’s in the field should be able to update some information User’s in a disaster recovery center should be able to run reports
